What better time to do something different than a year of even numbers. 2012 is my year to do whatever is odd, opposite, and uncomfortable from my norm. The goal here is removing and getting past that which stands in the way of happiness, joy. and freedom. A great example of this for me is running. I love to run, however I hate cold weather. So instead of not running because it is cold outside (the fear here is the cold weather) I instead teach myself how to layer up, put on a hat, and run outside, (even though I am uncomfortable) and I learn to overcome the uncomfortable (and my fear) of the cold. It is the change in behavior which brings about a shift in my perception, thinking and ultimately my attitude. I have researched some Essential Oils which can be useful in bringing about different types of change. They are Clary Sage, Cypress, Lemon Tea Tree, Myrtle, and Petitgrain. Depending on who you are and the type of change you have going on, these oils have a positive effect on attitude and can assist in bringing about change, gravitating toward solutions, while keeping the mind and body connected with the goal of moving into a new direction.

Realizing and acknowledging what holds me back is the turning point. Now change becomes possible and the growing begins. Using essential oils can help me stay on track, keep me motivated and assist in bringing about the courage and dedication  needed to achieve my goals. I personally have been using my Cypress Center & Lift lotion, soap, bath salt, and have put it in my diffuser a great deal in the past month. I wonder if this has lead me to make the decision to move forward with this idea? It occurred to me that the possibilities for this type of directional for change are limitless and can be applied to any area of life, family, and business. This will work for in every area of life. Things immediately coming to mind such as exercise routines, learning new skills, becoming more involved with family, etc., and as life continues to show up, the simple answer is to do the opposite of what is normal.  Applying the opposite principle will allow me to gain momentum and achieve results because a new way of doing things creates a new habit and results in new thinking patterns and perceptions to life.

Having considered this I ask you, what is holding you back? what fear is keeping you from your dreams? Are you having trouble with your new years resolutions? What is the opposite, odd, and uncomfortable thing to do in these situations. Now I challenge you to do just that, or at least make an attempt, in achieving the happiness, joy and the freedom we all deserve.
